Villa Erba is located on the spectacular Lake Como with iconic views of the lake and surrounding landscape within the area of Cernobbio. The venue is one of the largest on Lake Como which has been authentically preserved to the highest of standards over the years keeping all of the original hand painted frescos on the walls, detailed ceilings, flooring, antique furniture, and soft furnishings. This venue has been the choice of the world’s most affluent who are humbled by the unimaginable events imagined and realised at Villa Erba.
It has been home to many star-studded and elite events who appreciate extravagance and decadence blended with authenticity and history. The world has been only briefly exposed to its beauty with clips from movies such as Ocean’s 12 that spirals the imagination into bringing this inspirational venue from virtual reality into your own reality.
You have the opportunity to create your own movie scene sprinkled with your choice of flower arrangements, lighting and extras that emphasises your personalities and carves your time into your family history books and albums.
There are several ceremony locations available allowing your wedding to be organised uniquely and personally. One ceremony area is outside in the stunning botanical park which has an intimate wrought iron cupola for a setting truly representing a match made in heaven with your other half, friends, and family. Alternatively, the botanical gardens and the venue terraces are perfect for cocktails.
More favourably, the ancient Darsena boat house with the breath-taking lake view is certainly a popular choice that encapsulates the dreams of most. The view of the lake and photography creation from the Darsena is simply perfect and seating allows up to 200 and even more should you opt for a platform to increase floor space which is levelled. The Darsena is also all excellent location to reconfigure for the evening to have for fireworks and cake cutting.
Alternatively, the unique rooms inside the venue pose contention for choice, but most likely a contingent plan for adverse weather conditions. Whilst inside, the large window view available behind the ceremony allows you to preserve the lake view which continues to feel magical.
The reception options are equally flexible due to the scale of the villa. You can choose to be outside with a marquee or inside one of your favoured grand rooms or utilise all the rooms collectively for seating up to 300 people. Each internal room has its own theme and style to stimulate the senses and provide a diverse range of interior design to make everyone feel comfortable in the varying spaces. If you want the best of both worlds, we could even build a transparent structure attached to the villa that perfectly blends the charter of the lake, gardens, and building. The main room in the villa at its heart is the Cathedral Hall with extravagant stone balconies around the perimeter. The acoustics and setting make for an unbelievable room for the evening party.
