BREATHTAKING VIEWS OF LAKE COMO
Villa Del Balbianello is located on the spectacular Lake Como with iconic views of the lake and surrounding landscape at the tip of a small wooded pensinsula Dosso d’Avedo on the western shore of the south-west branch of Lake Como. The venue is one of the most notorious on Lake Como with a rich history and renowned for being covered in the James Bond and Star Wars movies. Within their immaculate garden grounds, they have beautiful, landscaped gardens and courtyards, perfect for cocktail hours and live performers.
The wedding ceremony is quite possibly the most memorable and sought after in the entire world appearing at a beautiful height above the Lake with a picturesque backdrop making for a photographer and videographer’s dream shoot with the most unbelievable wedding photos and videos to be wished for. The venue is located in the commune of Lenno in the heart of Lake Como and not far from other famous locations such as the quaint town of Bellagio.
The boat transfer gradually stops at the private dock at the bottom of the venue which creates a surreal ‘pinch me’ moment for the guests to arrive. A small ascent along the paths passing by an abundance of elegant statues protruding forward from the horticultural Cyprus and Palm trees, Boxwood and Wisteria.
Reaching the courtyard for greeting will leave you feeling excited to quench your thirst and a sense of reward as you turn back to appreciate the view and even encouraging a heightened sense of consciousness.
The venue oozes authentic opulence created by the rich Italian culture which is supported by the historical Italian aristocracy and Catholic church that have had Lake Como in their hearts for centuries. The most famous spot of this villa is the three arched loggia which provides views of Bellagio to the north with the alps in the distance and to the south presents views over the only lake of Como. This is our favourite location for our discerning clientele to hold the ceremony and even an intimate dinner.
For clientele who would look a diverse experience choosing for additional adventure could choose a different venue for the reception and take to the calm waters again for yet another extravagant boat transfer to enjoy the day with another memorable view of the Lake, even one with Villa Del Balbianello in the landscape to gaze at and reflect on the incredible life changing events that took place at a venue you will never forget.
For clientele that wish to have the complete ‘Balbianello experience’ enjoying all of its enchantment may choose one of two reception locations at the venue. The first being the upper Loggia Segre which can hold up to 60 guests seated. The loggia has a private terrace to house the reception dinner tables with decorative flower and lighting arrangements. This location is perfect to provide your guests the comfort of remaining there for the evening frivolities of a DJ, live band, and dance floor.
Where guest numbers are larger, you have the option of the lower garden terrace. You are required to enjoy this location with a marquee which is a fantastic addition for the evening to protect against any adverse weather changes whilst genuinely holding an additional dimension to the day providing an additional location to enjoy changing views of the venue and the lake. The marquee gives a maximum capacity for a seated dinner of 150 people. On the lakeside terrace, you will also have the opportunity to decorate the venue with your own touch of lighting and flower arrangement. Whatever your imagination can create, we can implement! And importantly, the true privacy of the venue allows your guests to party late into the night.
